SCHOOL LUNCHES PROGRAM

1. HOW DOES FABLUNCH SERVE SCHOOL LUNCHES?

2. HOW DO YOU PICK WHERE THE LUNCHES ARE SERVED?

Fablunch school lunches are currently served in 63 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Central America and the Carribean. Please visit our For a better lunch page to learn how and where our school lunches are served.  

3. IS FABLUNCH A CHARITY?

We are not a charity. Fablunch is a for-profit organization with giving at its core. With our For a better lunch mission, we put the power in your hands to improve a child's life and use your purchasing power for a greater good. If you are looking to make a donation to a charity organization that fights hunger, we recommend the World Food Programme. 

4. WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SCHOOL LUNCHES IF I RETURN MY CONTAINER?

We accept returns within 30 days from the date you receive your Fablunch container. This timeline allows us to evaluate how many containers are final sales and can therefore be counted towards our giving program.

2. WHAT ARE FABLUNCH CONTAINERS MADE OF?

Fablunch containers are made entirely out of food grade silicone. You know the pacifiers babies suck on? Yep, that's the exact material we use to produce our containers. Unlike plastic containers that leach dangerous chemicals into your food, silicone containers are completely safe for food storage. Silicone also allows our Fablunch container to collapse to half of its original size. So it takes up less space in your kitchen cabinet and in your lunch bag. 

3. ARE FABLUNCH CONTAINERS PLASTIC-FREE?

Yes! No plastic was used in making of our containers. Fablunch containers are made entirely out of food grade silicone. 

4. ARE FABLUNCH CONTAINERS BPA-FREE?

Yes! BPA is an industrial chemical found in certain types of plastic. High exposure to BPA has been proven to be hazardous to our health and may lead to heart disease, reproductive disorders, Type II diabetes, breast cancer and many other diseases. Since our containers are made using ONLY silicone, they are naturally free of BPA. 

5. HOW DURABLE ARE YOUR CONTAINERS?

Fablunch containers are made using high qualify LFGB-approved silicone. They are completely safe for microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer. Fablunch containers are both sturdy and durable. If you take good care of them, they will last you for many years. 

6. ARE FABLUNCH CONTAINERS LEAKPROOF?

Yes! Fablunch containers are 100% leakproof. Please note that the lids can be vented to slowly release steam during cooking. Before placing the container in your lunch bag, make sure that the lid is tightly closed and the plunger used for venting (the flower in the middle) is pressed all the way down.  

7. ARE YOUR CONTAINERS SAFE FOR MICROWAVE/DISHWASHER/FREEZER?

Yes, yes, and yes. Fablunch containers are made entirely out of food-grade silicone that withstands high and low temperatures extremely well. Have you ever seen a silicone muffin pan or a silicone ice cube tray? Products made out of food-grade silicone can be safely used in both low and high temperature environments with no change in their properties. Our Fablunch containers can withstand heat of up to 450F (230C) and have excellent resistance to low temperatures (up to -40F/-40C). So you can safely freeze leftovers in your Fablunch container or even bake a pound cake in it. 

8. ARE FABLUNCH CONTAINERS SAFE FOR FOOD?

We take safety extremely seriously. That is why all Fablunch containers are made entirely out of LFGB-approved food-grade silicone. Unlike plastic containers that leach dangerous chemicals into your food (even BPA-free ones), silicone containers are completely safe for food storage. Due to their excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, our Fablunch containers are 100% safe to use in microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer.  

9. ARE FABLUNCH CONTAINERS APPROVED BY FDA?

Fablunch containers are made using high quality LFGB-approved silicone. LFGB is a German standard for testing silicone products. The tests conducted for the LFGB standard are more intensive compared to the tests run for the FDA standard. 

Even though both LFGB standard silicone container and FDA standard silicone container are safe for human use, we chose to use the material that have passed stricter quality testing to assure our customers of our commitment to safety. 

10. WHAT IS THE LFGB STANDARD

The LFGB is a German standard for testing silicone products that come in contact with food. The tests conducted for the LFGB standard are more intensive compared to the tests run for the FDA standard.

All Fablunch containers are made using LFGB-approved silicone. Even though both LFGB standard silicone container and FDA standard silicone container are safe for human use, we chose to use the material that have passed stricter quality testing to assure our customers of our commitment to safety. 

11. HOW DO I CLEAN MY FABLUNCH CONTAINER?

Fablunch containers are dishwasher safe. We highly recommend using the top rack of your dishwasher. Our containers can also be hand washed in warm soapy water. After rinsing the containers, towel off the excess water before leaving out to air dry completely. 

Similar to other transparent containers, clear silicone containers may be stained by certain food. To remove the stain or the odor your lunch left behind, simply soak your Fablunch container in 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water for about 20 minutes. Then hand wash it like you normally would.

Once you place your order, it cannot be changed. We send our orders directly to our distribution centre as they are submitted to ensure the fastest delivery time possible. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Fablunch.com now ships worldwide!

2. HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING AND HANDLING COST?

A flat rate of $5.15 applies to all Canadian and US orders. We are excited to offer FREE shipping to a North American address on orders with 30 or more lunches.

A flat rate of $15.25 applies to all orders outside of North America. All shipping charges are in US dollars. 

3. DOES FABLUNCH.COM SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes, we do! Fablunch.com now ships worldwide.

4. WILL I HAVE TO PAY IMPORT TAXES?

Customers outside of North America are responsible for all applicable customs, import duties, fees, local taxes and other fees charged by your country. These fees are paid to your local carrier or government and are not collected by Fablunch. 

5. WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

After you submit your order, please allow 1-2 business days for processing. After your order has been processed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail informing you that it has been shipped. We ship Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays.

The estimated delivery time for the United States is 5-7 business days, and 5-10 business days for Canada. The estimated delivery time for orders outside of North America is 10-20 business days.

6. HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

After you receive a confirmation e-mail that your order has been shipped, you can expect your package to arrive within 5-7 business days if you reside in the United States. The estimated delivery time for all Canadian orders is 5-10 business days. 

The estimated delivery time for orders outside of North America is 10-20 business days. Please note that on very rare occasions international shipping to some countries can take 4-8 weeks due to the delays caused by destination country's customs clearance processes. 

7. HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

After your order has been processed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail informing you that your order has been shipped. This e-mail will include your tracking number and a link to follow the journey of your Fablunch container. 

8. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I ENTERED INCORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESS?

It is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure that she or he enters the shipping address correctly. We do our best to speed up processing and shipping times; therefore, there is a very small time gap to change the address of your order. If you believe that you entered your shipping information incorrectly, contact us immediately at info@fablunch.com and we will do our best to make the change. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so. If the order has already been shipped, we can only wait to see if the package gets returned back to us. If it does get back to our distribution centre, we can ship it to the correct address or provide you with a full refund. 

 

RETURNS & REFUNDS

1. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return new, unused items sold by www.fablunch.com within 30 days of receipt of your order for a full refund (excluding shipping cost). Once an item has been used (i.e. an item was washed, came in contact with food), it is no longer considered new. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be returned in its original product packaging. If 30 days have gone by since you received the product, unfortunately, we can't offer you a refund.

2. HOW CAN I MAKE A RETURN?

Processing a return is easy! Just follow these simple steps: 

Step 1: Contact us

Prior to sending a return back to our facility, please email info@fablunch.com within 30 days of receipt of your order with the following information:

Step 2: We issue you an RMA

After receiving your email, we will issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form. Please note that all Fablunch containers must be shipped back new and in their original packaging or a refund will not be issued. All returns must also be accompanied by a copy of your invoice and the RMA form. 

We will provide you with our return address that is closest to you where the returned items will be inspected to see if they qualify for a return. 

Step 3: Package items

Be sure to include a copy of your invoice and the RMA form in your box, along with the unused items in their original packaging. 

You can use your original Fablunch shipment box or any unmarked cardboard box - just make sure there are no existing shipping labels or stickers on the box. Please indicate "RETURN, NO DUTIES" on the package or the package will be returned to you. 

Step 4: Ship back to Fablunch.

Mail your return back to Fablunch. We will provide you with a return address when we issue the RMA. Please note that the shipping costs you paid on your original order are non-refundable and you are responsible for all return shipping costs.

3. DOES FABLUNCH OFFER FREE SHIPPING ON RETURNS?

Unfortunately, no. Fablunch does not generally offer free shipping on returns. You are responsible for any return shipping costs required for shipping the product back to us. We recommend that you send your return with a tracking number as Fablunch is not responsible for lost items. 

4. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET A REFUND?

A refund will be issued to your original payment method upon receipt of your return. Please allow up to 5 business days for us to process your request. When your return has been processed, you will receive a notification email that the refund has been processed. Depending on your bank, a refund to your original method of payment may take approximately 5-7 business days to post to your account. Please note that we do not refund any original shipping costs that you may have incurred. 

5. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN PERIOD?

We are happy to provide you a refund on new, unused items within 30 days of the date that you received your Fablunch container. 

6. DO YOU OFFER EXCHANGES?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like an exchange, we recommend returning the item you already purchased and placing a new order with www.fablunch.com

8. MAY I RETURN MY FABLUNCH CONTAINER WITHOUT CONTACTING YOU?

No. Please make sure to contact us prior to sending your return as our return address is different from the address we ship our containers from. Any refunds for merchandise returned without contacting us first will be denied.
